Cancellation and Refund Policies

Full refunds for the registration fee will be issued only if a cancellation request is received on or before Friday, March 7, 2014. Full refunds for the registration fee minus a cancellation fee of US $150 will be issued for cancellations requested between Saturday, March 8, 2014 and Friday, May 2, 2014. No cancellation requests will be accepted after Friday, May 2, 2014. The fee for Guest tickets and add-on programming is nonrefundable and nontransferable at any time. Please complete the Refund Request Form and send it to Member Services.

Annual Meeting 2015 Promotion

If you take advantage of the 2015 Annual Meeting promotion and you subsequently decide to cancel your registration for the 2014 Annual Meeting in Hong Kong, the registration for both meetings (2014 and 2015) will be cancelled. You will receive a full refund for the 2015 Annual Meeting registration fee, and the 2014 registration fee will be subject to the existing cancellation policy and deadlines.

The fee for other add-on programming is nonrefundable at any time. Please send your cancellation requests to

Badges and Admittance

Only persons registered for this meeting are admitted to the educational sessions, meals and receptions. Badges must be worn at all times to gain admittance to all official INTA functions. Anyone found counterfeiting, copying or sharing badges, or using a guest badge when he/she is not eligible for a guest badge, may be subject to sanctions up to and including removal from the meeting and revocation of INTA membership.

Badge Reprint Policy

US $100 will be charged for the reprint of lost badges onsite. A charge of US $300 will be applied to a second replacement. Badges will not be reprinted a third time.


INTA’s guest policy has changed. INTA will no longer issue guest badges; instead, guests will have the opportunity to register for specific events at the Annual Meeting and will be issued a guest ticket to that event only. You may purchase guest tickets for the Welcome Reception (May 11, 5:00 pm–7:00 pm) and/or for the Grand Finale (May 14, 7:00 pm–11:00 pm).

A guest ticket will give access only to the event(s) purchased and includes event transportation. For the Welcome Reception, tickets will be collected at the entrance of the reception; tickets will be collected for the Grand Finale before entering the shuttle bus to the event. Guest tickets are nonrefundable and nontransferable.

Guests will not have access to the Exhibition Hall, Hospitality area or to the continental breakfasts or food served in these areas. A guest ticket does not include access to educational sessions, and guests are thus not eligible for Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credits or Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points. Guests of attendees are not listed in the Final Program or Attendee List.

In keeping with our current policy, a guest is a spouse, significant other, child, family member or friend whose occupation is unrelated to the trademark industry. Associates within the trademark industry and co-workers are not eligible for a guest ticket.

Important Note: In the past few years, INTA has seen an increase in the number of persons trying to register business colleagues as guests and engaging in other practices designed to avoid payment of the registration fee for the Annual Meeting. Please note that anyone found to be:

1) Attempting to falsely register as a guest; or

2) Counterfeiting, copying or sharing badges

may be subject to sanctions up to and including removal from the Annual Meeting and revocation of INTA membership.

Committee Meeting Only Registration

The Annual Meeting requires registration for the entire meeting and there is no committee meeting only option.

Final Program and Attendee Directory

The Attendee Directory will be accessible through the Attendee Portal online on the INTA website and on the free INTA mobile app. The online Attendee Directory will be updated in real time with onsite registrations and attendee check-ins.

The Final Program will be accessible online on the INTA website and on the free INTA mobile app. It will also be in print and available at Bag Pickup.


You must be registered and payment must be received for the meeting before you can reserve your hotel room. Once you complete the meeting registration, you will be directed to the Hotel Reservation page to reserve your room online. Please note that the conference rate is limited to ONE room per registered attendee and the INTA rate is based on availability.


All attendees must pick up their badge and event tickets onsite at the Registration Desk in the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre during registration desk hours.
