Cancellation and Refund Policies

Full refunds for the registration fee will be issued only if a cancellation request is received on or before Friday, March 13, 2015. Full refunds for the registration fee minus a cancellation fee of US $150 will be issued for cancellations requested between Saturday, March 14, 2015, and Friday, May 1, 2015. No cancellation requests will be accepted after Friday, May 1, 2015. The fee for guest tickets is nonrefundable.

Non-Renewed Member Registration Policy

Registrants must be renewed for 2015 to obtain the member rate for the meeting. All members not renewed by January 13, 2015 will be cancelled.

If you are planning to attend the Annual Meeting and have not renewed, you will have two choices:

  • If you are the designee, you can renew within the registration system and also register for the Annual meeting at the member rate. The late fee will be waived.
    • If you are not the designee, you will see a message on the screen informing you to contact the designee to renew.
  • Please note that if you choose not to renew and proceed with your application, you will pay the nonmember rate.

The nonmember rate will not be refunded if/when your organization renews at a later time.

Additional Events

The fee for additional events is nonrefundable at any time. In order to comply with local laws, minors under the age of 21 will not be permitted to purchase a ticket or attend the Grand Finale: Gaslamp Block Party.

Annual Meeting 2016 Promotion

If you take advantage of the 2016 Annual Meeting promotion and you subsequently decide to cancel your registration for the 2015 Annual Meeting in San Diego, the registration for both meetings (2015 and 2016) will be cancelled. You will receive a full refund for the 2016 Annual Meeting registration fee, and the 2015 registration fee will be subject to the existing cancellation policy and deadlines.


Your registration for the meeting and any additional events is transferable to another individual employed by your organization and in the same office location.

Badges and Admittance

Only persons registered for this meeting are admitted to the educational sessions, meals and receptions. Badges must be worn at all times to gain admittance to all official INTA functions. Anyone found counterfeiting, copying, using badges from past meetings or sharing badges may be subject to sanctions up to and including removal from the meeting and revocation of INTA membership.

Badge Reprint Policy

A $100 fee will be charged for the reprint of lost badges onsite. A charge of $300 will be applied to a second replacement. Badges will not be reprinted a third time.

Committee Meeting Only Registration

The Annual Meeting requires registration for the entire meeting, and there is no committee-meeting-only registration option.

Final Program
and Attendee Directory

The Attendee Directory will be accessible through the Attendee Portal online on the INTA website and on the free INTA mobile app. The online Attendee Directory will be updated in real time with onsite registrations and attendee check-ins.

The Final Program will be accessible online on the INTA website and on the free INTA mobile app. It will also be in print and available at Bag Pickup.

Guest Tickets

INTA no longer issues guest badges; instead, registrants can purchase guest tickets for specific events at the Annual Meeting and will be issued a guest ticket to that event only. You may purchase guest tickets for the Opening Ceremony and Welcome Reception (Sunday, May 3, 4:00 pm–7:30 pm) and/or for the Grand Finale (Wednesday, May 6, 6:00 pm–10:00 pm).

A guest ticket will give access only to the event(s) purchased. Tickets will be collected at the entrance to the Opening Ceremony and Welcome Reception and the Grand Finale.

Guests will not have access to the Hospitality Area or the Exhibition Hall or to the continental breakfasts or food served in these areas or in the educational sessions. Guest tickets are nonrefundable and nontransferable.
In keeping with our current policy, a guest is a spouse, significant other, child, family member or friend whose occupation is unrelated to the trademark industry. Associates within the trademark industry and co-workers are not eligible for a guest ticket.

Important Note: In the past few years, INTA has seen an increase in the number of persons trying to register business colleagues as guests and engaging in other practices designed to avoid payment of the registration fee for the Annual Meeting. Please note that anyone found to be:

1) Attempting to falsely register as a guest; or

2) Counterfeiting, copying or sharing badges

may be subject to sanctions up to and including removal from the Annual Meeting and revocation of INTA membership.


You must be registered and payment must be received for the meeting before you can reserve your hotel room. Once you complete the meeting registration, you will be directed to the Hotel Reservation page to reserve your room online. Please note that the conference rate is limited to ONE room per registered attendee and that the INTA rate is based on availability.

Onsite Registration

All registrants must pick up their badge and event tickets onsite at the Registration Desk in the San Diego Convention Center during registration desk hours.

After Friday, May 1, attendees must register for the Annual Meeting onsite at the Registration Desk in the San Diego Convention Center.

New Mothers Room

INTA has arranged for a room to be available for new mothers who are nursing at the San Diego Marriott Marquis. The room will be available from 8:00 am – 8:00 pm beginning Saturday, May 2 – Tuesday, May 5. On Wednesday, May 6 access hours will be from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. Keys can be picked up at the "Onsite Registration" desk in Hall A of the San Diego Convention Center. Should you require this service, please contact Tricia Simpson

Tuition Assistance

Tuition assistance for the Annual Meeting is available to eligible attorneys with a total individual income of less than US $35,000 a year or who are currently unemployed. By registering for or attending this event, you agree to the collection, use, and disclosure of Personally Identifiable Information (PII). PII includes any information that identifies you personally (e.g. name, address, email address, phone number, etc.).
