Why You Should Register

INTA is proud to host its first Trademark Administrators and Practitioners Meeting (TMAP) in Alicante, Spain with the kind support of the Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market (OHIM). OHIM is the European Union agency responsible for managing Community trade marks and designs.

TMAP is designed for trademark professionals responsible for or involved in European trademark portfolio management and lawyers interested in European trademark practice.

The special location of the meeting provides registrants with a unique set of benefits, including the opportunity to (1) meet with OHIM’s examiners, (2) update and refresh their knowledge on trademark law practice, including the latest developments on trademark law in Brazil, Canada, China, Europe, and the United States; litigation and enforcement strategies in Europe, global clearance and filing tips; and (3) gain essential knowledge about the ever-evolving virtual world of social media and domain names.

This meeting will feature:

  • Various educational sessions including the latest developments on European trademark law, global clearance, filing, litigation and enforcement strategies in Europe.
  • Opportunities to meet with OHIM staff and learn first-hand about the work of the office.
  • Networking lunches and receptions to enhance relationship-building with colleagues from Europe and beyond.

Here are a few things to consider if you need to justify your attendance to the meeting. For regular TMAP registrants, the cost of travel to Alicante is comparable with Washington, D.C., where the TMAP Meeting is often held.
