INTA’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Initiatives in Orlando

Carbon Credit Donation

Participate in the Carbon Credit initiative. Make a $10 donation during the online registration process to offset your carbon travel emissions and help “green” the meeting.

INTA has partnered with to help highlight the importance of offsetting the Annual Meeting’s carbon footprint. All of the proceeds will be donated to is leading the fight against global warming, making it easy and affordable for individuals, businesses or organizations to reduce and offset their climate impact and hasten the transition to a clean energy future.


The Orange County Convention Center (OCCC) exemplifies its commitment to environmental stewardship and is nationally recognized for its green initiatives, social responsibility and long-term environmental impact on the community.

The OCCC is proud to highlight the following accomplishments and looks forward to establishing effective partnerships that will continue the Center of Hospitality’s commitment to the triple bottom line — social, environmental and economic balance!


Offer 100% Biodegradable Products in Retail/Concessions and Banquets

  • PLA (polylactide) Beverage Cups (cornstarch) — renewable in 1 year.
  • Bagasse Plates (sugarcane fiber) — renewable in 1.5 years.
  • Plant/Potato Starch Cutlery (plants) — renewable every 6 months.

Purchase from Local Central Florida–Based Businesses

  • T. G. Lee Dairy, Orlando — milk, cream, and iced tea.
  • Sweet! By Good Golly Miss Holly, Orlando — homemade cupcakes and treats.
  • World Food, Orlando — various fresh produce and citrus fruits.
  • Douce France, Winter Garden — specialty bakery items and artisan breads.

Local Central Florida Community-Based Donations

  • Second Harvest of Central Florida — viable food and beverage products.

Food/Organic Waste Diversion

  • Dedicated food/organic waste compactors available at each building.
  • Over 235,000 pounds in 2014

Participate in ALL current recycling programs at the OCCC
