INTA’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Initiatives in Seattle:

INTA attempts to give back to the community in small ways with each meeting. The Annual Meeting has a large impact on the local community and economy, but in addition to that impact, we try to find ways to highlight and donate to a local charity or offset our registrant’s carbon footprint. In 2018, INTA will offer several CSR initiatives at the meeting, including: 

Carbon Credit Donation 

Participate in the Carbon Credit initiative. Make a $10 donation during the online registration process to offset your carbon travel emissions and help “green” the meeting. 

INTA has partnered with to help highlight the importance of offsetting the Annual Meeting’s carbon footprint. All of the proceeds will be donated to is leading the fight against global warming, making it easy and affordable for individuals, businesses or organizations to reduce and offset their climate impact and hasten the transition to a clean energy future. 

Dress for Success Seattle 

INTA has partnered with Dress for Success Seattle. The mission of Dress for Success is to empower women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire and the development tools to help women thrive in work and in life. 

You can participate in Dress for Success by bringing a donation of the following items onsite in Seattle (donations must be suitable for a job interview): 

Lightly worn or new professional clothes in all sizes, with size 12 or larger the most needed. 

Lightly worn or new shoes. 

Accessories that are lightly used or new, including handbags, jewelry, scarves, etc.  

Spanx, which must be new and preferably in size large or extra-large. 

Dress for Success earns 50 percent of their operating revenue from reselling high end designer suits of any size, so you may also wish to donate these items knowing it will help the organization operate.

Pike Place Market Foundation 

Make a donation to the Foundation during the registration process and give back to the local community. The Market Foundation has granted more than $27 Million to provide housing, healthcare, healthy food, childcare and a community of support to our most vulnerable neighbors. Some of the many services provided to the community include a Senior Center, Food Bank and Pre-School for local residents.  

Washington State Convention Center Sustainability  

Seattle is one of the most environmentally progressive cities in the United States. Washington State Convention Center has been an industry leader in conservation and recycling for more than two decades, and is dedicated to environmental building practices and “green” operations. 

They reduce their carbon footprint with sustainable culinary practices (such as locally sourced food and beverages), energy-efficient lighting, environment-friendly cleaning products, and a first-rate recycling and composting program. They continue to invest significant resources in new and innovative projects that make the facility even more efficient. 

Their conservation policies along with WSCC’s comprehensive green program substantially reduces the impact of the facility on the environment. All of our employees are committed to providing a dynamic, sustainable meeting experience.
