Where?

Walter E. Washington Convention Center

Most INTA events will be in Walter E. Washington Convention Center (WCC), which is located between 7th and 9th Streets and N Street and Mt. Vernon Place in downtown D.C. and Mission Streets. Other events will be in the Renaissance Washington D.C. Downtown Hotel, 999 Ninth Street NW, Washington, D.C., 20001.


How do I register for the meeting?

You can register for the meeting online starting in January 2012. Please note the following: 

  • You must register for the Annual Meeting before you can reserve your hotel room within INTA’s block of discounted rooms.
  • Registration will begin on January 4 to coincide with the fiscal year of a majority of our members.
This process ensures that all registrants have equal access to available, discounted hotel rooms in INTA’s block on an equitable first-come, first-served basis.
 

How do I reserve a hotel room?

INTA has reserved blocks of rooms at discounted rates at popular hotels (see below) for attendees of the Annual Meeting. To reserve a hotel room and obtain the discounted rate, you must first register for the Annual Meeting. Hotel reservations must be made through the INTA Housing Bureau by Friday, April 20 or until the rooms run out. Only hotel rooms booked through the INTA Housing Bureau by Friday, April 20 will be listed in the online Attendee Directory.


What are the official INTA Annual Meeting hotels and rates? 

All rates listed are in U.S. dollars. Distance to WCC is listed in miles.

Event rates are subject to all applicable state, local and occupancy taxes in effect at the time of the Annual Meeting.  Current taxes (subject to change): 14.5%. The INTA rate is valid from Thursday, May 3 to Friday, May 11, 2012.

What's new this year at the Annual Meeting?

New this year, the Attendee Directory will be online only. You can access the Attendee Directory on the Attendee Portal from your computer or available kiosks around the convention center and on the free INTA mobile app.  


Is there shuttle service from the hotels to the convention center?

Yes. Shuttles will run from select hotels to the WCC at 15–20 minute intervals. Some hotels are within easy walking distance to WCC. A shuttle schedule will be available for all attendees as we get closer to the meeting.


How do I exhibit and sponsor at the Annual Meeting?

Exhibition and sponsorship applications are being accepted beginning on December 1. Learn more here.


Which airport is closest?

Ronald Reagan National Airport (DCA) is about 7 miles from the WCC. Baltimore International Airport (BWI) is about 35 miles, and Dulles International Airport (IAD) is about 30 miles from the convention center.

Option 1: Register for the five-day Annual Meeting at the discounted Academic Member rate of $225.

Option 2: Register for Academic Day only, a one-day event, at $100. Price includes all programs and events included in the Academic Day schedule on Monday only.

Option 3 (for current law students - both member and non-member): Register for the two-day Academic Course for $650 and receive a complimentary registration to the Annual Meeting.

What are the registration categories?

Regular and Associate Member Registration

All employees of an INTA member organization are eligible for this registration category. To check your organization’s membership status, contact Customer Service at +1-212-642-1700 or customerservice@inta.org. Please note that membership is organization- and location-specific.

The registration includes access to all sessions, continental breakfasts and breaks in the Hospitality Area, access to the Exhibition Hall, general receptions, pre- and post-meeting online materials, the print Final Program and online Attendee Directory.

Professor and Student Member Registration

All individuals who are student or professor members of INTA are eligible for this registration category. For more information on student and professor memberships, visit the Membership page.

The registration includes access to all sessions, continental breakfasts and breaks in the Hospitality Area, access to the Exhibition Hall, general receptions, pre- and post-meeting online materials, the print Final Program and online Attendee Directory.

Government Official Registration

A special rate, or in some cases a complimentary registration, is available for specific government officials. For more information, contact Sharon Aguayo at saguayo@inta.org.

Nonprofit Registration

All employees of INTA member nonprofit organizations are eligible for this registration category. The registration includes access to all sessions, continental breakfasts and breaks in the Hospitality Area, access to the Exhibition Hall, general receptions, pre- and post-meeting online materials, the print Final Program and online Attendee Directory.

Guest Registration

A guest is a spouse, significant other, child, family member or friend whose occupation is unrelated to the trademark industry. A co-worker or associate within the trademark industry is not eligible for guest registration. Guest registration includes INTA conference transportation, attendance at the Welcome Reception and Grand Finale, continental breakfasts and breaks in the Hospitality Area and access to the Exhibition Hall. A guest badge does not include access to educational sessions, and thus guests are not eligible for CLE credits and CPD points.

Please note: Guests are not listed in the Attendee Directory.

Non-Member Registration

Individuals who do not qualify as any of the above stated registration categories are eligible for this registration category.

Not an INTA member? Join now and save on your Annual Meeting registration (this discount applies to all individuals at your location)! A membership enrollment form is available here; please note that membership is organization and location-specific. Once your membership application has been confirmed, you will receive your member username and password, and then you can register for the meeting at the member rate and reserve a hotel room.
