INTA continues to grow! It is no surprise that with over 9,500 attendees from more than 140 countries, last year’s Annual Meeting was the largest to date and was touted among attendees as the most valuable and cost-effective yearly conference for trademark practitioners.

Affiliate Function Request

Completing the Affiliate Function Approval Form helps INTA understand the economic impact our meeting brings to a city. This information gives us greater negotiating power with future meeting locations to keep attendee costs as low as possible.

Any and all corporate, law firm, sponsor or exhibitor meetings, social events or hospitality suites to be held at any Dallas location (including hotels, museums, restaurants, parks, social clubs, etc.) should be reported to INTA.

Where will the Annual Meeting be in 2013?

The 2013 Annual Meeting will be in Dallas, Texas USA on May 4-8.

Most meeting events will be at the Dallas Convention Center located at 650 South Griffin Street, Dallas, Texas and the new Omni Dallas Hotel located at 555 South Lamar Street, Dallas, Texas.


How can my firm or company plan their own event?

Affiliate events that are taking place in the city of Dallas during the INTA Annual Meeting can use the Affiliate Function Approval Form to submit their personal events for approval by INTA.


How do I exhibit and sponsor at the Annual Meeting?

Exhibition applications will begin being accepted on December 3, 2012. Check back in the late summer for more information on exhibiting. For sponsorship opportunities, contact Paula Lee, CMP, INTA's Senior Planner, Meetings, Exhibits and Sponsorship Strategy at plee@inta.org.


How do I register for the meeting?

Online registration for the Annual Meeting will open in early January 2013. Please note the following:

  • You must register for the Annual Meeting before you can reserve your hotel room within INTA’s block of discounted rooms.

  • Registration will begin early January to coincide with the fiscal year of a majority of INTA members.

  • This process ensures that all registrants have equal access to available, discounted hotel rooms in INTA’s block on an equitable first-come, first-served basis.

How do I reserve a hotel room

INTA has reserved blocks of rooms at discounted rates at popular hotels (see below) for attendees of the Annual Meeting. To reserve a hotel room and obtain the discounted rate, you must first register for the Annual Meeting. Hotel reservations must be made through the INTA Housing Bureau by Friday, April 19, 2013 or until the rooms run out. Only hotel rooms booked through the INTA Housing Bureau by Friday, April 19, 2013 will be listed in the online Attendee Directory.

Event rates are subject to all applicable state, local and occupancy taxes in effect at the time of the Annual Meeting.  Current taxes (subject to change): 15%.

The INTA rate is valid from Wednesday, May 1 through Friday, May 10, 2013.


Is there shuttle service from the hotels to the convention center?

Yes. Shuttles will run from select hotels to the Dallas Convention Center at 15–20 minute intervals. Some hotels are within easy walking distance to DCC. A shuttle schedule will be available for all attendees as we get closer to the meeting.  We recommend that you stay within the INTA block as hotels outside of our block will not receive shuttle service.

Option 1: Register for the five-day Annual Meeting at the discounted Academic Member rate of $225.

Option 2: Register for Academic Day only, a one-day event, at $100. Price includes all programs and events included in the Academic Day schedule on Monday only.

Option 3 (for current law students - both member and non-member): Register for the two-day Academic Course for $650 and receive a complimentary registration to the Annual Meeting.

What are the registration categories?

Regular and Associate Member Registration
All employees of an INTA member organization are eligible for this registration category. To check your organization’s membership status, contact Customer Service at +1-212-642-1700 or customerservice@inta.org. Please note that membership is organization- and location-specific. The registration fee includes access to all sessions, continental breakfasts and breaks in the Hospitality Area, access to the Exhibition Hall, general receptions, pre- and post-meeting online materials, the print Final Program and online Attendee Directory.

Professor and Student Member Registration All individuals who are student or professor members of INTA are eligible for this registration category. For more information on student and professor memberships, visit the Membership page. The registration fee includes access to all sessions, continental breakfasts and breaks in the Hospitality Area, access to the Exhibition Hall, general receptions, pre- and post-meeting online materials, the print Final Program and online Attendee Directory.

Government Official Registration
A special rate, or in some cases a complimentary registration, is available for specific government officials. For more information, contact Sharon Aguayo at saguayo@inta.org. The registration fee includes access to all sessions, continental breakfasts and breaks in the Hospitality Area, access to the Exhibition Hall, general receptions, pre- and post-meeting online materials, the print Final Program and online Attendee Directory.

Nonprofit Registration
All employees of INTA member nonprofit organizations are eligible for this registration category. The registration includes access to all sessions, continental breakfasts and breaks in the Hospitality Area, access to the Exhibition Hall, general receptions, pre- and post-meeting online materials, the print Final Program and online Attendee Directory.

Guest Registration A guest is a spouse, significant other, child, family member or friend whose occupation is unrelated to the trademark industry. A co-worker or associate within the trademark industry is not eligible for guest registration. Guest registration includes INTA conference transportation, attendance at the Welcome Reception and Grand Finale, continental breakfasts and breaks in the Hospitality Area and access to the Exhibition Hall. A guest badge does not include access to educational sessions, and thus guests are not eligible for CLE credits and CPD points. Please note: Guests of attendees are not listed in the Attendee Directory.

Non-Member Registration Individuals who do not qualify as any of the above-stated registration categories are eligible for this registration category.

Not an INTA member? Join now and save on your Annual Meeting registration (this discount applies to all individuals at your location)! A membership enrollment form is available here; please note that membership is organization and location-specific. Once your membership application has been confirmed, you will receive your member username and password, and then you can register for the meeting at the member rate and reserve a hotel room.

Planning your visit to Dallas:

Which airport is closest? Two airports service the Dallas area. Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) is about 20 miles from the convention center and Dallas Love Field Airport is about 7 miles away.
