The International Trademark Association (INTA) and the German Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (GRUR) are proud to invite you to an expert forum for exchange and discussion on the current IP environment in the EU which will address growing challenges IP and trademarks in particular are facing.
The program will consider whether, why and how IP rights have come under pressure, looking at the basis and origins of trademark protection and its development on the European and international levels. Questions that will be addressed include:
- What are the theoretical, philosophical and legal foundations of trademark rights?
- How do these rights work in the EU?
- How do they relate to consumer protection and competition?
- What are the current challenges to trademarks/IPRs?
