 In and Around Chicago

Chicago offers world-class dining, entertainment, arts and culture.  Don’t miss your chance to explore the city and eat at some great restaurants while you are in town.  Check out this site for things to do and place to go in Chicago: http://www.choosechicago.com/experience-chicago/itineraries/.

Planning to stay closer to the hotel and explore the South Loop?  Use this site to help you find your way, http://www.renaissancenavigator.com/hotels/navigator/chirh.  The South Loop is home to a thriving community of young professionals, students of nearby colleges, and Chicago’s former Mayor Richard M. Daley. The neighborhood features notable historical landmarks that include the 1836 Clarke House, one of Chicago’s oldest residences; a diverse dining scene; blues clubs and other nightlife options; and the convenience of the Museum Campus and Loop a short stroll away.

 Climate and Dress

There are a lot of great events going on during the month of October in Chicago and the weather can vary widely -- sometimes it's unseasonably warm, and others can get downright cold.  Packing layers of clothing is definitely a must. The Average high temperature is around 63°F (17°C) and the average low temperature is about 44°F (7°C).

The meeting encourages business casual attire. Meeting rooms are well air conditioned, and the inside temperature might be slightly warmer or cooler than you find comfortable. Therefore, it is suggested that you dress in layers (light jackets and/or shawls are a good idea to have with you).
