INTA Delegation to Latin America—August 2015


To further INTA’s mission in Latin America, an INTA delegation will be visiting Argentina, Chile and Peru from August 13 to August 20. The delegation will include members from each country on the delegation tour, as well as INTA’s CEO, Etienne Sanz de Acedo, and External Relations Associate for Latin America, Gabrielle Doyle. 

At the first stop, in Buenos Aires, Argentina, the delegation will meet with the National Institute for Industrial Property (INPI) and with the Appellate Chamber, the National Director of Customs and the Argentine Chamber of Commerce. On August 13, INTA will also host a membership reception at the beautiful Algodon Mansion in Recoleta for all our members in Buenos Aires.

From Buenos Aires, the delegation will travel to Santiago de Chile. In addition to attending a membership reception on August 17, at the Noi Hotel Vitacura, the delegation is expected to meet with members of the Supreme Court of Justice and officials from the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Economy and the National Institute of Industrial Property of Chile (INAPI), with whom INTA is also hosting an Examiners Workshop.

Finally, the delegation will travel to Lima, Peru, where the delegates will be signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the National Institute for the Defense of Competition and Protection of Intellectual Property (INDECOPI). The delegation will also hold an examiners training session with the Peruvian IP office. Bringing the delegation tour to a close, INTA will host a final membership reception for members in Lima on August 19, at the Westin Hotel Lima.
