Trademark Searches in Iran

iran-78829_640.jpg
When registering a trademark, the first step for every practitioner is an electronic trademark search through the Intellectual Property Office website of the country where registration is sought. Similar to the IP office websites of other countries, the Iran Industrial Property Office’s website provides a feature to electronically search the registered trademarks in Iran. However, in comparison with the search functions of other countries’ websites, Iran’s IP search system has significant limitations. For example, there is a maximum of ten searches allowed per day for each IP address, and the site does not allow proprietor searches. For more information, please visit the Iran IPO website.
