INTA member Geri Lynn Elias (Vice President & Intellectual Property Counsel at Kate Spade & Company) is featured in the upcoming issue of Modern Counsel. The profile explores her career as an intellectual property attorney in the fashion industry, as well as her growth and development as an INTA member volunteer.
Since her first Annual Meeting in 2000, Elias has quickly immersed herself in the INTA community through networking and building professional relationships around the world. Previously, Elias has volunteered on the Anticounterfeiting and In-House Counsel Committees. In the current term, she serves on the Leadership Development Committee and, since 2014, on the INTA Board of Directors.
Modern Counsel explains how Elias recently played a pivotal role in helping form INTA’s Fashion Industry Committee Group—a small yet experienced group of in-house IP lawyers from the fashion industry who meet several times a year to discuss intellectual property issues, policies, and laws impacting their industry.
