Named one of the ten best online trademark tools by World Trademark Review

Practitioner’s Guide to the Madrid Agreement and Madrid Protocol
is a searchable database of practical information on the local application of both treaties in the member countries covering:

  • practice and procedure in obtaining, maintaining, licensing and enforcing registrations obtained through the Madrid system
  • detailed information about how each jurisdiction treats marks extending to it
  • history of the Madrid treaties, use of the system and strategic considerations of whether, and how, to best use the system
Each jurisdiction profile, contributed by a local practitioner, follows a standardized format, with topics organized by subject heading. This format makes it easy to search within a jurisdiction profile or to compare how different jurisdictions treat a particular subject. All you need to access this and INTA’s other online member resources is your username and password. If you don’t know yours, please contact Member Services or call +1-212-642-1700.
