The INTA Leadership Meeting brings together INTA volunteer leaders once a year to advance the Association’s objectives and goals. It offers them an advanced-level educational program and the opportunity to conduct business and network with colleagues from around the world.

2015 Leadership Meeting attendees will have the opportunity to engage with:

  • The Head of the Panama Trademark Office;
  • Panama Customs Officials; and
  • The Chief Judge of the Panama Supreme Court.

It will be INTA’s first major event in Latin America. For more information, and to hear from INTA volunteers on why they will be going or sending staff to Panama, please see this presentation.

Where will the 2015 Leadership Meeting take place?

The meeting will take place in Panamá City, Panamá and INTA will secure hotel block at two hotel with competitive rates. Registrants will be able to secure rooms at the Hard Rock Hotel Panama Megapolis for US $160 a night or the Radisson Decapolis Hotel for US $120 a night. You must first register for the meeting before you can book a hotel room at either hotel. Meeting events will take place at both the Hard Rock Hotel Panama Megapolis and the Megapolis Complex which is an adjoining conference center.

When is the Leadership Meeting?

The date of the meeting is November 17-20. Please note the new date pattern of the meeting (Tuesday to Friday). Based on registrant feedback, INTA has decided to end the meeting on Friday evening, allowing for registrants to travel home on Saturday. Please review the schedule when it is posted to see when events begin and end so you can make your schedule. 

Who can attend and what is the cost to attend the meeting?

Registration to the Leadership Meeting is exclusive to: Current Committee Members, Chairs and Vice Chairs, Subcommittee Members, Chairs and Vice Chairs Current and Incoming Board of Directors and Counsel, Past Presidents and Counsel Current Project Teams, Incoming 2016-2017 Committee Members, and staff from Government IP Offices.

The member registration fee includes admission to educational sessions, three continental breakfasts, three luncheons, your respective committee meeting, refreshment breaks and networking receptions as well as access to the online meeting portal that contains course materials, the Attendee Directory and the Final Program.

*Guest Registration
A guest is a spouse, significant other, child, family member or friend whose occupation is unrelated to the trademark industry. A coworker or associate within the trademark industry is not eligible for guest registration. Guests are entitled to three continental breakfasts (Wednesday through Friday), three luncheons (Wednesday and Friday) and three receptions (Welcome Reception, Networking Reception and Closing Cocktails). Guest passes do not provide access to educational sessions or course materials, and guests thus are not eligible for CLE credits or CPD points. Guests are not listed in the online Attendee Directory.

What are the payment options?

Credit card payment is the preferred payment option. INTA registration fees are processed in US Dollars; the amount charged to your card will vary according to the currency exchange rate. Onsite registration is also via credit card payment.

How do I reserve a hotel room?

You must register and pay for the meeting before you can book your hotel room. Once you have completed your registration, you will be directed to the hotel reservation page. There will also be a link in your email confirmation for you to use.

Do I have to get INTA’s approval to host a private firm event?

INTA would like to know about all events taking place in Panama during the meeting and insists that your events don’t conflict with our planned events. Please fill out the Plan Your Own Event form and INTA will follow up with you if there is a conflict.
