December 3, 2016
Hilton Buenos Aires
Buenos Aires, Argentina
The International Trademark Association (INTA) is pleased to invite you to attend and participate in an INTA workshop supported by the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), Business Action to Stop Counterfeiting and Piracy (BASCAP), and Asociación Interamericana de la Propriedad Intelectual (ASIPI) on the roles and responsibilities of intermediaries in enforcing IP rights. This one-day workshop, Intermediaries and Rights Holders—Working Together to Stop Counterfeiting and Piracy, will take place at the Hilton Buenos Aires on December 3, 2016.
The event will bring together key stakeholders to explore opportunities for rights holders, intermediaries, and governments to work together on solutions. Delegates will hear about some of the findings in the recent BASCAP report titled “Roles and Responsibilities of Intermediaries: Fighting Counterfeiting and Piracy in the Supply Chain.” INTA will share some of its best practices for addressing the sale of counterfeits through voluntary collaboration. Workshop sessions will focus on several of the key types of intermediary categories, with speakers discussing the challenges and opportunities to cooperate on innovative responses. INTA gratefully acknowledges the support provided by the ICC-BASCAP team and the materials provided by them for use at this workshop.
INTA gratefully acknowledges the support provided by ASIPI for this workshop. This workshop would not be possible without the generosity of ASIPI, and we are grateful that ASIPI is a local co-organizer of this event.
