Protecting Your Brands in Brazil and Abroad: Risks, Challenges, and Possible Solutions

IP attorneys from Moeller IP Advisors will review some of the most common problems encountered when protecting trademarks locally and internationally.

The speakers will use certain publicly available data and some proprietary data produced and owned by Clarivate Analytics to tackle questions such as:

  1. Are existing trademark rights (including those generally known as “deadwood” records) serious legal risks for those who want to protect their brands in Brazil and other countries? What are the possible ways to deal with these problems from a marketing and legal standpoint?

  2. Who are the frequent TM filers in Brazil, and what are the most common legal challenges?

  3. In which countries have Brazilians filed the most, and what are the most common legal challenges?

The event will be conducted in English and in Portuguese without concurrent translation.

The mini-seminar is limited to 40 people. If you are interested in staying afterwards for a free lunch, please email
