Young Practitioners and Trademark Administrators from Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Norway and Sweden with less than five years of professional experience.

18:00 What do you know about your & your neighbor’s IP rights?
Quiz on IP law in Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Norway and Sweden (including EU law).
The teams will be mixed to have at least one member from each country on them.

19:00 Reception with drinks and finger food (including award ceremony for the essay competition)
During the reception, we will announce the winner of our essay competition (for further details on how to participate, please see below), who will be presented with a ticket to the INTA Conference “Brand Authenticity: How Sustainability, Corporate Social Responsibility and Integrity Impact Your Bottom Line”, taking place from November 30 to December 01, 2017 in Berlin, Germany.

The flight (from any of the participating Nordic countries to Berlin and back) is included in the prize and will be sponsored by darts-ip.

In addition to this, please send an email to
ypevent@rmwc.eu to let us know since when you are active in the area of IP and to provide us with two questions addressed to the participants of the round table (connected to the topic “Opportunities and pitfalls of brand use on social media”).

The event is free of charge and space is limited. Please RSVP only if you are certain that you will actually be able to attend. Registration will occur on a first-come, first-served basis and will be confirmed by email.


Essay competition:
Brand use on social media – Challenges and (possible) solutions.
For the first time, the Young Practitioner event includes an essay competition. All confirmed attendees are eligible (and strongly encouraged!) to participate. All you have to do is email your essay on the aforementioned topic to
ypevent@rmwc.eu before Friday, June 9 at 15:00 CET.

The essay should contain at least 2,000 and at most 5,000 words and must be submitted as a word file with double spacing, using an Arial 12 point font. It must be the respective participant’s original and unpublished work. All entries will be judged on originality of thought, clarity of writing and practical relevance/applicability. The winner must be attending the reception on June 16 in order to be able to claim his/her prize.
