The Trademark Clearinghouse is one of the mechanisms established by ICANN to address trademark owners' concerns about the release of new generic top-level domain names (gTLDs) into the Internet space. With about 1800 new gTLDs in the application process and the first batch expected to be approved by ICANN in the coming months, this session will give trademark counsel and owners the latest on the new program and will teach them how to use the Trademark Clearinghouse to not only receive early notice of new gTLD allocation but also protect their trademarks generally.
