Venture capital fund company Malaysia Debt Ventures Bhd (MDV) has been given the authority by the Government of Malaysia to start lending money to small and medium enterprises (SMEs) that wish to develop intellectual property. As part of the government’s 2013 budget allocations to inculcate innovation and increase productivity, RM 200 million have been set aside and will be offered through MDV under the IP financing fund scheme.
