Faster than a Speeding Bullet – USITC as a Forum for Trademark Cases

July 11–22, 2016
Various US Cities

The U.S. International Trade Commission (USITC) is increasingly becoming the forum to consider when trying to resolve trademark disputes involving products imported into the United States. USITC cases go to trial faster than cases tried in other forums, bringing speedier resolution to trademark disputes than actions filed in federal or state court. In addition, multiple respondents from the United States and abroad can be named in an USITC action, and broad remedies are available to exclude infringing products without regard to where or from whom they originate or whether personal jurisdiction exists. Come join this INTA Roundtable to discuss why the USITC may be the right strategic choice for your client’s trademark dispute.

INTA is seeking volunteers to host this Roundtable in various U.S. cities. All you need to do is secure an available conference room, order lunch and facilitate the conversation using the outline that has been developed. INTA will reimburse you for the cost of the meal. Please contact Roundtables@inta.org if you are interested in hosting this Roundtable.
