Overlap Between 3D, Industrial Designs and Copyright
Which Protection is Better, Case Studies of Local and Foreign 3D Marks

Join your colleagues at an informative roundtable on how to protect local and foreign 3D marks, industrial designs and copyright.

Thursday, 10 April, 2014
2:00 pm–5:00 pm

In recent years, the disputes from the overlapping protection of intellectual property rights has caused many complications to the Vietnamese IPR enforcement authorities during reception and settlement of IRP related disputes, especially the overlapping protection among trademark, industrial design and copyright (i.e. applied art work). Broadly speaking, overlapping protection according to point of views of supreme courts and scholars would become serious threat to the principles, goals and purposes of intellectual property protection.

This roundtable will discuss the status of current legislation regime, practical dispute settlement ability as well as suggestions on how to deal with these complicated issues in near future.
