INTA Roundtable: Use of Trademarks on the Internet

Sign up today for an INTA Roundtable discussion and learn more about the Use of Trademarks on the Internet

Friday, October 18, 2013
13:30 pm – 15:30 pm

The expansion of the Internet has created a new, huge market where many businesses now advertise their products or services and sell them directly to consumers.

Basically, Internet use is borderless whereas intellectual property rights are granted on territorial basis. Accordingly, disputes may arise from the seemingly contradictory nature of the two, such as whether the circulation of a trademark on the Internet in a particular mode indeed constitutes trademark use or trademark infringement.

Taking this opportunity, we would like to spend some time with you on introducing to you and making discussions on a number of trademark disputes associated with use of trademarks on the Internet, as well as some relevant court decisions recently rendered in Taiwan.

Join us for a lively discussion.
