Aesthetic Functionality: A Monster the Court Created but Could Not Destroy

Mary LaFrance, who is an IGT Professor of Intellectual Property Law at William S. Boyd School of Law, University of Nevada, Las Vegas, was the winner of the Professional Award. Sarah Hopkins, a student at Seattle University School of Law, was the winner of the Student Award.

The Ladas Memorial Award was established in memory of
Stephen P. Ladas, distinguished practitioner and author. Funded by Ladas & Parry, LLP, this yearly award is presented in Professional and Student categories for a paper on trademark law or a matter that directly relates to or affects trademarks.
