Advancement of Trademark Law
Kristina Rosette (Covington & Burling LLP—Washington, DC, USA), chair of the Registration Practice & DNS Administration Subcommittee of INTA’s Internet Committee, was INTA’s first two-time Volunteer Service Award winner. Kristina contributed to the adoption of the new ICANN policy on domain name tasting and worked to protect brand owners under ICANN’s policy for introducing new generic top-level domain names.
Advancement of Committee or Subcommittee Objectives
Catherine Holland (Knobbe, Martens, Olson & Bear, LLP—Irving, California, USA) was instrumental in her work as a member of the Model State Trademark Bill (MSTB) Subcommittee. She shepherded the MSTB to passage in California, the first U.S. state to pass the model bill with the new federal dilution standards.
Dan Yeatts (Thomson CompuMark—North Quincy, Massachusetts, USA) excelled in his roles as the 2007 Membership Survey and Trademark Administrator Survey team leaders.
Advancement of the Association
Christopher Foley (Finnegan, Henderson, Farabow, Garrett & Dunner, L.L.P— Reston, Virginia, USA) was instrumental in INTA’s academic programs through more than 20 years of involvement in making the Saul Lefkowitz Moot Court Competition successful.
Michael Metteauer (Fulbright & Jaworski, L.L.P.—Austin, Texas, USA) led the development and implementation of a report outlining suggestions for INTA leadership development as a member of the Membership Services Committee’s Leadership Development Subcommittee.
