On Thursday, November 20, 2008 from 8.30 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. the IJE (Institute of Company Lawyers) will organise a seminar about intellectual property named “La propriété intellectuele omniprésente dans l’entreprise” at the Congress Center Dexia in Brussels. Intellectual property is a very wide topic as it covers essential matters, such as brands, licences, software, copyrights, drafts, etc. Intellectual property rights have significantly evolved these past few years in order to allow companies to control, protect and valorise its legacy. But did the regulation concerning intellectual property follow this evolution? Is it still adapted to our modern world, where thanks to new communication techniques and Internet borders seem to disappear? A professional panel composed of speakers representing different legal professions, such as company lawyers, lawyers and professors, will answer these questions. The seminar will be held in French and Dutch and is open to all legal professions. Members and non-members of the IJE are welcome to attend. For further details, including the full programme, costs and how to register, please visit the French version or the Dutch version of our website.
