2021 International Virtual Roundtable on Kazakhstan
October 29, 2021
Virtual
October 29, 2021 | 11:00 am Kazakh time (GMT +06:00)
A moratorium on administrative inspections of small businesses was introduced in Kazakhstan in 2020. This moratorium has affected inspections related to the enforcement of trademark rights.
In theory, legislation in Kazakhstan provides different methods to protect trademark rights, however these methods are quite difficult to implement in practice.
Although practicing lawyers offer different concepts and approaches to the issues surrounding enforcement of trademark rights, rights enforcement remains challenging due to inflexible legislation.
Roundtable participants will be able to share their experiences and discuss what types of tools can effectively help to enforce trademark rights.
The program will also include an expert from China who will share details regarding border enforcement policies in China, one of Kazakhstan’s important trading partners.
This roundtable is hosted by Bolotov & Partners LLP.
