Congressional Trademark Caucus Briefing: Addressing the Impact of Counterfeiting on Brand Owners and Consumers During the COVID-19 Pandemic

Please join the bicameral, bipartisan Congressional Trademark Caucus (CTC), the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Global Innovation Policy Center (GIPC), and INTA for a virtual briefing.
Participants will hear from Members of Congress and trademark and brand protection experts about important public and private sector efforts to address pervasive trademark counterfeiting.
The Briefing will focus primarily on the U.S. State Department, Department of Justice, and private sector efforts to stem the tide of counterfeit products in the marketplace, particularly due to the explosion of consumer purchases in the e-commerce space as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, during which time there has been an increase in counterfeit activity on the Internet.

The Congressional Trademark Caucus (CTC) is a bipartisan, bicameral Member Organization chaired by Senator Chuck Grassley (R-IA), Senator Chris Coons (D-DE), Representative Ted Deutch (D-FL), and Representative Michael McCaul (R-TX). The mission of the CTC is to highlight the vital role that trademarks and legitimate Internet domain names play in boosting the economy, creating jobs, and providing trust to American consumers and their families.
