Young Practitioners Panel Discussion: How to Win Unwinnable Cases—Mastering the Art of Overcoming the Impossible Office Action

Zoom Meeting | April 14, 2021

This event is free of charge and open to INTA members and non-members.

April 14, 2021 | 12:00 pm–1:00 pm EDT

We have all been faced with that “unwinnable” Office Action. Tricky objections inevitably work their way down the chain of command, but what is a young practitioner to do?

Please join us for a discussion with three seasoned Office Action veterans to hear their strategies and learn from their diverse experiences. Topics to be discussed include how to make your application “office action” proof, how to tackle the infamous no inherent distinctiveness objection, when and how to effectively call examiners, how to draft and leverage a co-existence agreement, how to delicately mitigate client expectations, tips of the trade when drafting effective affidavits for acquired distinctiveness, and other words of wisdom.
