March 23, 2021 | 12:15 pm-1:00 pm CET
Innovation and digital transformation have become a daily part of life for most IP practitioners. 2020 accelerated an already growing marketplace of innovation and there has been a recent shift in the IP and trademark professional support market.
The rapid adoption of process automation and artificial intelligence (AI) has significantly changed the marketplace and has accelerated the need for practitioners to embrace new tools to stay competitive and effective.
AI is touted as a business solution as it is incorporated into innovative tools that produce quicker and more accurate search results, process large data sets to help identify potential online infringements and counterfeits, assist in global trademark portfolio management, automate repetitive and time-consuming tasks—and do so with a superior speed and accuracy. IPOs are also leveraging these technologies with the goal of making the trademark searching and filing processes more accessible to brand owners.
In view of the identified benefits of AI, why do so many practitioners still grapple with the concepts and use of AI in their brand legal practice? Is AI really impacting the value of the trademark practitioner? Is it accessible from a pricing perspective? Is AI a resource, a roadblock, or is the jury still out as to where it truly fits into our day-to-day brand legal practice?
Walk away with practical tips to effectively integrate AI tools into your practice, what to look for, what to watch out for, and the role of the trademark lawyer in harnessing information to promote more efficient and effective legal analysis and client support.
