Session 7—Diversity, Equity & Inclusion: Getting it Right
September 23, 2021 - September 23, 2021
2021 Brand Resilience Conference | Virtual
September 23, 2021 | 3:15 pm-4:00 pm EDT
Overview
One realization that has come through a tumultuous and challenging year is the need to understand and embrace our differences, be more inclusive, and make sure that equity is the norm—and not the exception. Brands must reflect and embrace these values, and brand legal practitioners aren’t exempt from prioritizing diversity, equity, and inclusion in their teams and their vendor partners. Moreover, this isn’t just a nice to have for business but a must have, since diversity, equity, and inclusion lead to more innovative offerings, better talent retention, and enhanced consumer engagement.
But how do we ensure that companies and legal teams are embracing a long-term strategy and not only focused on optics and sound bites for the near term?
A panel of experts will provide real world examples of where brands are getting it right—and the journey to creating an effective D, E&I strategy and engagement.
Listen in as panelists share their real-world journeys to creating and executing an effective diversity, equity & inclusion strategy—missteps, side steps, successes, and all! Walk away with inspiration, best practice tips, and watchouts to help you bridge the distance from where you are to where you want to be!
