Position Description
One of Fortune’s Best Places to Work, Perkins Coie, LLP, a leading international law firm, is seeking an experienced Advertising Marketing & Promotions attorney with 2-7 years of relevant experience. The ideal candidate will have substantive experience in one or more areas of advertising law, consumer protection law, and marketing transactions, such as drafting and negotiating ad agency, influencer, celebrity endorsement, sponsorship, online media buying, and other marketing and promotion agreements; reviewing ad copy for false advertising, claim substantiation, IP, and right of publicity issues; counseling on contest and sweepstakes compliance. While not required, experience with false advertising, unfair competition, and National Advertising Division dispute work; recurring subscriptions; and loyalty/rewards programs would be welcome.
Attention to detail and the ability to work well in a group are important characteristics. Successful candidates will have strong academic credentials and excellent legal writing and communication skills. Experience in a large or medium law firm setting is also preferred but not required. Although we will consider remote working arrangements for this role, visits to the Seattle office will be required and admission to the WA bar is preferred but not required. This is a non-partnership track position. Candidates located in the Pacific Northwest are preferred but not required.

This position may be filled in New York City. In accordance with the New York City Human Rights Law, the base salary range in New York City for this position is $200,000 -$250,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience. This range is specific to New York City and may not be applicable to other locations. The compensation for this position may also include a discretionary annual bonus.
