Nominations Are Open for the 2019 President’s Award and INTA Service Awards

Published: September 1, 2019

For nearly two decades, INTA has recognized the outstanding contributions of individuals and member organizations through its awards presented each year at the Association’s annual Leadership Meeting. This year, the tradition will continue at the 2019 Leadership Meeting, which will take place November 19‒22 in Austin, Texas, USA, with the presentation of the 2019 President’s Award and the newly revised INTA Service Awards (formerly known as Volunteer Service Awards).

The President’s Award acknowledges the profound appreciation by the global trademark and related intellectual property (IP) community for individuals belonging to an INTA member organization who have, over the course of a career in trademark and related IP law, made a lasting impact on INTA and its mission.

The INTA Service Awards, which recognize individuals and organizations that provide exemplary service to INTA, have been revised this year to more closely reflect the Association’s mission, vision, and strategic priorities. Additionally, eligibility to nominate and be nominated has been expanded to include more individuals from the INTA community. The new award categories include Advancement of Association Objectives and INTA Members for a Better Society.

Also new this year, INTA staff will submit nominations for the INTA Membership Champion Award.

The chart below details the criteria for each award, who is eligible to nominate, and who is eligible to be nominated to receive the awards. Please submit your nominations by September 13.

INTA Officers will evaluate the nominations and select the award recipients. Please join us at the Awards Ceremony at the Leadership Meeting on Tuesday, November 19, from 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm, where the INTA community will gather to honor and celebrate the award recipients.
