Update on INTA’s 2020 Annual Meeting
Published: February 1, 2020
Given the unfolding situation with the outbreak of the coronavirus, we would like to provide you with an update regarding the status of INTA’s upcoming 2020 Annual Meeting in Singapore.
We have been monitoring this public health situation very closely and have been following updates from the World Health Organization and the Ministry of Health-Singapore.
First and foremost, our thoughts continue to go out to all Chinese citizens and in particular to all INTA members and their families in China, as well as to others around the world affected by the coronavirus.
The health and safety of Annual Meeting registrants is our main priority. After much consideration, given the latest developments and the fluidity of this global situation, we are extending our registration cancellation deadline to provide increased flexibility.
In addition, we are continuing to assess the situation and will make other adjustments as necessary.
REGISTRATION CANCELLATION DEADLINE
We are extending the period in which registrants can receive a full refund of the registration fee without incurring a cancellation fee.
Under our revised policy, registrants who cancel by April 10, 2020 (11:59 pm EST), will receive a full refund of the registration fee, and will not be charged a cancellation fee. After April 10, 2020, we will only issue refunds due to a doctor’s note or official travel restriction at the time of cancellation.
(Previously, registrants faced a February 28, 2020, deadline for a full refund without a cancellation fee, and from February 29 until April 10, 2020, for a refund, minus a cancellation fee of US $150. No refunds will be issued after April 10, 2020.)
Please note that early-bird registration is available until February 21, 2020 (11:59 pm EST). If you register at the early-bird fee, subsequently cancel, and then re-register after February 21, 2020, you will be charged the standard registration rate.
HOTEL CANCELLATION DEADLINE
We have reached out to our housing vendor to see if any adjustments can be made to the current deadlines for hotel cancellation. We will provide an update once information becomes available. The current policy is available here.
Meanwhile, we also encourage you to monitor the situation and become familiar with suggested safety precautions:
Again, please be assured that we are continuing to assess this developing situation and will make other adjustments as necessary. We ask for your patience.
