EU Data Regulation Takes Effect, INTA Pushes for Open WHOIS Directory

INTA’s advocacy efforts are in full swing with the implementation of the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), effective May 25. INTA maintains that there is a vital need for continued access to an open and accurate WHOIS registrant data directory, which INTA members rely on to facilitate business and combat myriad online abuses, including counterfeiting, phishing, and fraud.
