In a lengthy precedential opinion, the U.S. #Trademark Trial and Appeal Board sustained El Roblar Investment Property LLC’s opposition to Bianca Roe’s intent-to-use application for the mark THE HOTEL EL ROBLAR for “hotel services.”

The Board held that Ms. Roe lacked a bona fide ...intent to use the mark in commerce as of the filing date of the application.

INTA has filed an amicus brief (third-party observation) with the European Union Intellectual Property Office - EUIPO enlarged Board of Appeal (Grand Board) in relation to the referral of the First Board of Appeal regarding a July 7, 2025, interim decision in the case R 1946/2024-1, Salva Cremasco.... In its brief, the Association argues that the EUIPO and the Grand Board of Appeal should apply equal standards to geographical names applied for as word collective marks and geographical names applied for as logo collective marks.

Lebanon’s Office of #IntellectualProperty no longer requires the submission of the original #trademark registration certificate for endorsement when recording a transfer of ownership.
