About INTA
Belonging and Inclusion
INTA’s Belonging and Inclusion Mission Statement
INTA is committed to fostering a global IP community that thrives on the principles of belonging and inclusion. As a member-driven organization, INTA strives to create an environment of respectful discourse where all members, regardless of their experience, ability, or perspective, feel valued, heard, and empowered. INTA aims to ensure equal access to opportunities, and champion a culture of inclusivity that celebrates the richness of its membership.
Belonging and inclusion ensures that all individuals in our organization—staff, directors, committee leaders and volunteers, and all members—feel valued, respected, accepted, and connected as essential parts of INTA.
We believe that open, inclusive environments where people feel they truly belong empower individuals to share ideas, perspectives, and concerns with confidence, and to contribute meaningfully to our collective success.
This means we will keep an open door to hear from our membership, invite active participation in all aspects of our work, and foster a culture where every person feels welcomed, supported, and integral to the INTA community.
The Belonging and Inclusion Council—one of 11 recommendations of INTA’s Presidential Task Force Report on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion—advises INTA’s President and CEO on strategies to raise awareness and visibility of belonging and inclusion initiatives across the Association and works to embed these principles as a lasting part of INTA’s culture.
