Conference to Explore the Impact of Innovation on Brands Across Sectors
Published: February 22, 2018
New York, NY—February 22, 2018—As the global marketplace rapidly evolves, innovation lies at the heart of transformation—from smart TVs and smarter cars, to talking appliances, virtual assistants, and more. These innovations are having a profound effect on consumer expectations and norms—and, therefore, on brands.
On March 19 and 20, the International Trademark Association will explore the implications of innovation and its central role in the development of intellectual property (IP) strategy and brand protection at its Brands and Innovation conference in New York.
Leading business and legal experts will provide practical tips to help attendees successfully navigate and harness new innovations to benefit products, services, brands, consumers, and their own day-to-day jobs.
Among the special guests, keynote speaker Natalie Hampton, a high school senior, anti-bullying activist, app developer, and the CEO of a non-profit called Sit With Us, Inc., will share her inspirational story and how she uses innovation to help her act as a change agent to improve communities and inspire the world. Entrepreneur Caterina Fake will participate in a fireside chat about the profound ways in which innovation has an impact on the world and how it shaped her own career as co-founder of both Flickr and Hunch, and Chairman of the Board at Etsy.
Speakers come from brands across industries, such as Bristol-Meyers Squibb Company, eBay Inc., Facebook, Inc., Mars, Inc., NBCUniversal Media, LLC, and Netflix, Inc.
Sessions will cover hot topics such as the alphabet of innovation, from AI (artificial intelligence) and AR (augmented reality) to VR (virtual reality); how innovation is changing the retail landscape; cryptocurrency; leveraging online influencers to successfully manage your brand’s voice; and using technology in the fight against counterfeit goods.
This conference is relevant to entrepreneurs, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), brand professionals, IP and trademark professionals, in-house counsel, and members of the technology and finance industries. It will offer numerous opportunities for networking.
