INTA Representative Participates in Brunei Workshop on Tackling Counterfeits

Valentina Salmoiraghi (pictured left), INTA Anticounterfeiting Advisor, Asia-Pacific, participated in a workshop on February 25 hosted by the U.S.-ASEAN Business Council in Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei, "Forging an Effective Partnership to Tackle Illicit Trade & Counterfeits with the ASEAN Customs Enforcement and Compliance Working Group." Ms. Salmoiraghi moderated a panel on brand protection and intellectual property rights (IPR) enforcement, which focused on the tools and procedures to protect brands and to enforce IPR globally and in the ASEAN region. Customs officials and law enforcement agencies from Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, and Vietnam attended the workshop.
