International Trademark Association Presents Belgrade Attorney with 2018 Tomorrow’s Leader Award

New York, NY, November 20, 2018—The International Trademark Association (INTA) is pleased to announce Mina Jovanović, a junior associate at Živko Mijatović & Partners in Belgrade, Serbia, as a recipient of the Association’s 2018 Tomorrow’s Leader Award in recognition of her early leadership merits in the intellectual property (IP) industry.
INTA presents the award annually to two outstanding professionals who have been practicing trademark law for five years or less, to inspire the next generation of IP professionals and to help accelerate the development of the recipients within INTA and the global trademark community.
“INTA is extremely pleased to recognize Ms. Jovanović as a 2018 Tomorrow’s Leader Award recipient,” said INTA President Tish Berard. “Ms. Jovanović is highly motivated and dedicated to trademark law. Her career is off to a great start, and we look forward to her future accomplishments as she continues to make strides to advance intellectual property rights.”
Ms. Jovanović joined Živko Mijatović & Partners in 2016 and has handled prosecution matters, opposition and appeal proceedings, enforcement, litigation, and various aspects of intellectual property law. She has a master’s degree in intellectual property law and is a Ph.D. candidate at the Faculty of Law, University of Belgrade, currently completing her Ph.D. thesis on the protection of famous trademarks.
“This award presents confirmation on the right choice of the career path I have decided to go through, and this selection is a powerful incentive for my further growth,” said Ms. Jovanović. “It encourages me for all the exciting challenges I am about to face in my future work, and it also motivates me to keep improving myself in numerous different ways.”
Ms. Jovanović received the Tomorrow’s Leader Award at INTA’s 2018 Leadership Meeting in New Orleans, Louisiana, in early November. The second 2018 award recipient is Guarav Bhalla, a partner at ALG India Law Offices LLP in New Delhi, India. INTA introduced the award last year.
As an award winner, Ms. Jovanović has the opportunity to serve on an INTA committee and to obtain an INTA mentor. She received complimentary registration to the Leadership Meeting and will receive complimentary registration to INTA’s 2019 Annual Meeting in Boston, Massachusetts, next May.
