The theme for World Intellectual Property Day 2020 is “Innovate for a Green Future.” It could not be more relevant amid the COVID-19 pandemic. As INTA’s Manager for External Relations – Enforcement, Iris Gunther, points out in the Inside INTA video below, many brands are finding innovative ways to support the response efforts. This is inspiring with regard to the current crisis we face and also for our future—and the possibility of a green future shaped by innovative brands.
As Ms. Gunther states in in the video, “In order to solve the world’s biggest problems we will all have to work together, and that ‘business as usual’ will not get us out of this.”
INTA recently published its Brands and CSR Survey Report looking at brands and corporate social responsibility (CSR). Not surprising, INTA members overwhelmingly recognize their social obligation to positively impact global issues and give back to the community.
In the video, Ms. Gunther provides further insights into the Brands and CSR Survey Report, introduces INTA’s newly formed Brands for a Better Society Committee (which will act on the recommendations of the report), and shares how she is preparing personally for a green future:
Although every effort has been made to verify the accuracy of items in the INTA Bulletin, readers are urged to check independently on matters of specific concern or interest.
