International Trademark Association Launches Global Workshop Series on IP Valuation and Finance

Published: November 8, 2024

London, England —November 8, 2024—The International Trademark Association (INTA) today announced the launch of a new global workshop series focused on intellectual property (IP) valuation and finance. The inaugural workshop, “Integrating Intellectual Property, Finance, and Valuation,” will take place at the historic London Stock Exchange on December 6, 2024.

This innovative educational initiative aims to bridge the gap between IP and financial markets, providing professionals with practical insights into the strategic importance of IP and intangible assets in today’s global economy. The half-day workshop, sponsored by Brand Finance, will feature expert presentations from industry leaders, interactive sessions with practical exercises, and valuable networking opportunities, including a networking lunch.

“In today’s knowledge-based economy, understanding the value and strategic importance of IP is crucial for business success,” said INTA CEO Etienne Sanz de Acedo. “This workshop series demonstrates INTA’s commitment to providing practical, forward-thinking education that meets the evolving needs of both IP and finance professionals.”

The London workshop will feature three comprehensive sessions. The first, covering global trends in IP, will bring together Chief Marketing Officers, finance professionals, and representatives from multinational corporations to share perspectives on how IP is shaping business strategies and driving value in today’s economy.

The second session, focusing on the value of IP, will explore how financial institutions evaluate IP in investment decisions.

The third and final session examines intangible assets and effective strategies for managing IP, brand reputation, and proprietary technology.

The program is designed for a diverse professional audience across the finance, law, technology, and business sectors. Financial analysts, executives, legal advisors, IP professionals, venture capitalists, private investors, business managers, strategists, and banking professionals will find value in the workshop’s comprehensive approach to IP valuation and management.

This inaugural workshop will be conducted exclusively in person at the London Stock Exchange at 10 Paternoster Square, from 8:45 am to 12:45 pm GMT. It is free of charge and open to both INTA members and non-members. Registration is limited to 100 participants. Interested professionals can register at inta.org before November 29, 2024.

INTA will continue the series, with additional workshops planned for New York, Dubai, and Singapore in 2025.
