Published: November 27, 2018

New York, New York—November 27, 2018
—The International Trademark Association (INTA) is pleased to announce that Felicia Boyd, a partner at Barnes & Thornburg LLP of Minneapolis, MN, is a recipient of the Association’s 2018 Volunteer Service Award for the Advancement of Committee or Subcommittee Objectives.

INTA presents the award annually to one or more members whose display of initiative and demonstration of creative thinking during the year helped to significantly advance a committee or subcommittee’s objectives.

The Association cited Ms. Boyd for her work on its Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Committee, where she serves as chair of the Europe, Middle East, and Africa Subcommittee.  She has helped to develop and promote various mediation education programs around the world, including organizing a roundtable in Nigeria.

“Through Ms. Boyd’s guidance, the ADR Committee has been able to expand its education programs both geographically and substantively. Her time and efforts go a long way in raising the visibility of mediation as well as INTA’s Panel of Trademark Mediators, to the benefit of all involved,” said INTA President Tish Berard.

In accepting the commendation, Ms. Boyd said, “I am completely surprised by this award and could not be more honored. I’ve worked with INTA for more than two decades, and my work on the ADR Committee has been rewarding professionally and personally. I hope that through my work on the committee I can be an active and positive voice for INTA and ADR.”

At Barnes & Thornburg LLP, Ms. Boyd has served as co-chair of the firm’s Intellectual Property Department and focuses her practice on complex intellectual property litigation. She earned her J.D. from the University of Minnesota Law School.

INTA presented Ms. Boyd with the 2018 Volunteer Service Award for the Advancement of Committee or Subcommittee Objectives during the Association’s 2018 Leadership Meeting in New Orleans, LA in November. The Association also presented the award to Kevin Hartley, co-founder of Trust Tree Legal, P.C., Nashville, TN, for his contributions to the ADR Committee.
