Published: February 19, 2025

INTA Member Research Report coverLast year, INTA invited members to participate in a survey so that the Association can better understand their complex needs—both in terms of their day-to-day professional life and work and on a global, economic scale—and to evaluate how INTA is performing in terms of meeting those needs.

Close to 2,000 members participated in the survey and more than 1,400 members completed the survey in full, while the balance provided partial survey results. This comprehensive report, conducted in collaboration with business management consultancy Corona Insights, reflects the perspectives and insights we received from members around the world.

Key Highlights:

  • High Member Satisfaction: Our members have expressed a high level of satisfaction, with an average satisfaction score of 7.4 out of 10.
  • Valuable Benefits: The Annual Meeting, Business Development opportunities, and professional development opportunities are among the top benefits valued by our members.
  • Positive Feedback: Members appreciate INTA’s strong reputation and thought leadership in the field of intellectual property.
  • Advocacy and Resources: Enforcement, IP legislation, and anticounterfeiting are the top advocacy areas important to our members. INTA’s Legal Resources, including practice guides and the INTA Bulletin, are highly valued.
  • Impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI): Most members described AI and AI-related issues as the greatest concern facing the profession in the next five years.

Looking Ahead: As an Association, INTA remains committed to adapting and growing alongside today’s evolving IP landscape.
