Published: November 18, 2021

New York, New York―November 18, 2021―The International Trademark Association (INTA) is pleased to announce Darani Vachanavuttivong, co-managing partner and managing director of the Intellectual Property Department at Tilleke & Gibbins, Bangkok, Thailand, as the recipient of its 2021 INTA Membership Champion Award.

The global association of brand owners and trademark professionals bestows this award—one of several INTA Service Awards—to an individual or individuals who help grow INTA membership, increase awareness of the Association, and promote member benefits, demonstrating their combined passion for trademark and related intellectual property (IP) law and their commitment to INTA through exceptional efforts.

Ms. Vachanavuttivong is currently chair of the Asia-Pacific Subcommittee of INTA’s Global Advisory Council (GAC) and has dedicated tremendous time and resources to helping to expand the Association’s profile in Southeast Asia. For example, she organized the first collaborative event with the Thailand National Innovation agency on brand valuation, which introduced the Association to small-and-medium-sized enterprises in Thailand.

Additionally, she has assisted in arranging various events that have been successful in driving INTA’s efforts to expand membership in the region.

She also noted that her participation in the GAC has presented her with “a great opportunity to learn a lot of useful skills and know-how from the dedicated global team.”

“I have seen first-hand how fast INTA, as a global organization, can adapt and evolve in response to changing IP laws and related technology laws, and I’ve learnt a great deal from how quickly they can become ready to provide for and support members when new challenges arise,” she said.

Ms. Dare presented the 2021 INTA Membership Champion Award in a video announcement during the 2021 Annual Meeting Virtual+, taking place November 15 to 19. Throughout the Meeting, Ms. Dare also announced the recipients of other INTA Service Awards, the Tomorrow’s Leader Award, and the President’s Award.
