As we approach year-end, it is important to take time to reflect on the past year, to celebrate our achievements, to show our gratitude to those who have supported us through the good times and the bad, and to prepare for the year ahead.

Last month, while speaking on the stage during our Leadership Meeting, I took the opportunity to convey my thanks to our member volunteers: You give a tremendous amount to this Association, for the benefit of all of us in the global intellectual property (IP) community. You are the engine that moves our mission and strategic objectives forward; you are the core of our community, and together, you ensure that INTA thrives.

I have been an INTA volunteer for more than two decades. Every year, I see and understand more about the tremendous work that goes on in this Association, the results we achieve, and the influence that we have. This year, I appreciated this even more. I saw firsthand how INTA’s substantive and geographic scope is always evolving and expanding.

I am in awe of the incredible work being done by this Association, and I sincerely wish to say “thank you” again to our member volunteers for everything we have accomplished: this year, over the past two-year committee term, and over the past four years as we worked to fulfill the objectives laid out in our 2022–2025 Strategic Plan.

Thank you for moving our Association forward, for growing our influence globally, for ensuring that our community continues to thrive, and for working together to continue advancing the interests of brand owners and protecting consumers around the world.

As I reflect upon this year, it has become very clear to me that INTA is making a huge difference on the global stage. Moreover, our passion for what we do, and for this community, is the foundation of our success.

I have felt humbled many times this year by the meaningful interactions I’ve had with members worldwide. This includes during the Annual Meeting in San Diego, at our Trademark Administrators and Practitioners Meeting in Berlin, and during the IP and Finance Workshops in Dubai, New York, and Singapore, to name just a few.

From these connections, I not only gained valuable insight into the unique challenges our members face in different parts of the world, but I also learned from members that the issues they are facing validate our efforts to support them, including through our 2025 Presidential Task Force, which is working to prepare us for the future so we can continue to thrive through change and transformation. These issues are also reflected in the priorities laid out in our new 2026–2029 Strategic Plan.

I also felt the true warmth and kinship of our fellow members—always so happy to receive us and host us in their home countries and cities. The same can be said about our delegations that engage with high-level officials. I am so impressed with INTA’s influence and governments’ desire to collaborate with us.

With this said, I must also remind everyone that this work is never done. Our industry, our jobs, our IP, and the consumers around the world who interact with our brands are constantly evolving, always presenting new challenges and opportunities. This is why our Association is also always evolving. This is why we are building the “INTA of the Future,” and why we must take every opportunity to inspire, support, and champion the next generation of IP professionals.

INTA has meant so much to my career and has given me so much. I have felt honored and privileged to serve as President in 2025. Thank you to everyone who has supported our Association this year.

The year ahead will be very exciting for our Association and community as we begin a new committee term with a new Strategic Plan and, of course, as we gather in London, England, in May for our 148th Annual Meeting.

Here’s to a bright, productive, and joyful 2026.

See you in London!

Yours,
Elisabeth Stewart Bradly
2025 INTA President
