Business Development Opportunities Abound at INTA’s Leadership Meeting

Published: April 21, 2021

INTA’s 2021 Leadership Meeting, being held from May 3 to 7, reflects the Association’s new emphasis on Business Development opportunities alongside educational sessions, providing registrants with various and engaging ways to network with new and old colleagues. Throughout the five-day Meeting, registrants will be able to connect through offerings such as Speed Networking, workshops, a multitude of receptions, and INTAconnect, an AI-powered meeting scheduler and matchmaking tool.

Premium Access registration closes on April 25 at 5:00 pm (EDT). Members who register for Premium Access will receive additional benefits such as early access to the virtual platform, special networking opportunities, and limited-attendance Business Development sessions—plus a US $200 cost savings on an already-reduced registration fee.

The schedule of Business Development sessions kicks off on Monday, May 3, with fan-favorite Speed Networking, which provides a space to make connections from the very beginning of the program. Registrants will be able to take advantage of this session at two additional times during the week.

Diversity, equity, and inclusion is a critical topic in today’s social climate. Following General Session 5—Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion: How to Level Out a Tilted Playing Field, on May 6, attendees have the option to participate in a workshop, to share their own experiences, best practices, and ways we can all become better allies.

Additionally, in order to strengthen their personal and professional profiles, attendees will benefit from a Build Your Professional Profile session that will cover topics such as financial literacy, resume building, and LinkedIn profile development. In this hands-on session, experts from Brand Finance plc. will explore the basics of financial sheets and why it is important to understand these concepts, especially when it comes to brand valuation and evaluation. INTA’s Global Director of Employee Experience, Kelli Kombat, will then guide attendees through the importance of resume building and LinkedIn. Registrants will learn how to efficiently present themselves through both mediums and how they can leverage these different tools to build their professional profile.

Lastly, it is not all strictly business. Recognizing the importance of well-being and staying active, Wellness Wednesday sessions (May 5) offer attendees the opportunity to do just that. With a choice of classes—Zumba, or yoga and meditation—attendees can pick their preference for the start, middle, and end of their day.

In addition, there will be other social activities and receptions throughout the Meeting. Participants can share their country’s well-known drinks or spirits during the Welcome Reception: Show Your Spirit, watch colleagues demonstrate creative skills in INTA’s Talent Showcase, and celebrate the end of a successful Meeting with good music and a DJ at the Closing Reception.
