Join us at the 2027 Leadership Meeting in New Orleans, Louisiana, where INTA’s committee members, committee leaders, project teams, and other invited registrants will come together during the second year of the committee term to connect, complete important work, and celebrate the contributions that have shaped the Association’s progress.

As committees move toward the close of their term, the Leadership Meeting provides a meaningful opportunity to bring projects to completion, reflect on accomplishments, align on final priorities, and recognize the commitment and collaboration that define INTA’s volunteer leadership community. Through committee meetings, leadership-focused discussions, educational programming, networking events, and collaborative working sessions, registrants will engage with peers from across regions, industries, and professional disciplines while helping ensure that committee and project work concludes with clarity, impact, and momentum.

Following a memorable 2024 Leadership Meeting, we’re delighted to return to a registrant favorite. Hosted in the vibrant city of New Orleans, the 2027 Leadership Meeting combines purposeful business discussions with the energy and culture of one of the world’s most distinctive destinations. Known for its rich history, renowned hospitality, celebrated cuisine, and dynamic atmosphere, New Orleans provides an inspiring setting to recognize volunteer service, strengthen community, and look ahead to what comes next for the Association.

Attendance Eligibility 

Attendance at INTA’s Leadership Meeting is limited to current committee members and committee chairs, vice chairs, and subcommittee chairs; current members of the Board of Directors and their counsel; Board Alumni; past presidents and past counsel; select project team participants; industry group members; and representatives from government intellectual property offices.

New for 2027: Exclusive INTA Member Benefits

Eligible members who renew for 2027 or beyond can enjoy these new benefits.

Buy tickets early. From Thursday, October 1, 2026, your Designee (the only person who can renew your organization’s membership) can buy tickets.
One group order, one fee. Your Designee buys for your whole organization at once, with a single 3.3% processing fee instead of one per registration.
Buy now, assign later. No names needed at checkout—assign tickets when you’re ready.
Book your hotel early. If you’re registered for the 2027 Annual Meeting, buy during the Pre-sale and assign your tickets on time to book your hotel a few days before general registration opens.

How It Works: Two Ways to Register

The Leadership Meeting is open to eligible INTA members. Choose the option that works best for you.

Option 1: Buy now, assign later
- Open to members who renew their INTA membership.
- Your Designee can buy tickets early, then assign Pre-sale tickets and all other tickets during the Pre-sale and General Assignment phases, respectively. Once general registration opens, your Designee can also select any available add-on activities (for now, only the Designee can do this).
- To take advantage of early ticket access, add your tickets during the same transaction in which your organization renews or joins. Tickets cannot be purchased separately after that transaction is complete.
Option 2: Register when general registration opens
- Registration and hotel booking open on Wednesday, July 14, 2027.
- Select any available add-on activities at checkout. Buying for a group? Your Designee can do that too, until Early Bird Registration closes.

Option 1 is ideal if you’re sending a team or still confirming who’s going. Option 2 works well if you already know you’re attending.

Not the Designee? Ask your Designee to renew, then register yourself once general registration opens on Wednesday, July 14, 2027.

Want early hotel booking? Assign your Pre-sale tickets by Tuesday, July 6, 2027. Miss that date and you’ll lose early hotel access, though you can still assign tickets through Friday, September 10, 2027. Any ticket not assigned by then can’t be used to attend and becomes an organizational credit. See the Event Policies.

* Startup: Persons eligible for Regular Membership that have been incorporated for no more than five (5) years, employ fewer than fifty (50) full-time equivalent employees, and have gross annual revenues not exceeding US $5 million. Intellectual property law firms and service providers who are Startups are not eligible for Regular Membership and shall be classified as Associate Members if they otherwise meet the eligibility requirements for Associate Membership.
* SME: Persons eligible for Regular Membership that employ fewer than 250 full-time equivalent employees, and have gross annual revenues not exceeding US $50 million. Intellectual property law firms and service providers who are SMEs are not eligible for Regular Membership and shall be classified as Associate Members if they otherwise meet the eligibility requirements for Associate Membership.

INTA BADGING AND COMMITTEE PARTICIPATION

All individuals within a member organization attending an INTA event are expected to register for the event and wear their official event badge, including INTA-related offsite events.
Continued committee participation requires that everyone at the organization level respect this policy.
If any individual from a member organization attends an event without proper registration and a badge, all committee members from that organization may be removed from their committee assignments.

Credits

We encourage you to review our Event Policies, which apply to all INTA events.

To request a credit for the Leadership Meeting, please submit your request to INTA Member Operations stating in detail the reason for the credit request.

Full credits for the registration fee will be issued for requests shared with the INTA Member Operations team requested by Friday, September 24, 2027, 11:59 pm (U.S. Eastern Time).

No credits of registration fees will be given beyond Saturday, September 25, 2027 12:00 am (U.S. Eastern Time).

Buying for your organization? Tickets not assigned by Friday, September 10, 2027, can’t be used to attend and become an organizational credit under INTA’s Credit Policy.

SUBSTITUTIONS

Your base registration for the 2027 Leadership Meeting is transferable to another person affiliated with your umbrella member organization. Add-on business development activities for the Leadership Meeting are transferable to any other person registered for the 2027 Leadership Meeting.

To facilitate the registration substitution process, please submit your Substitution Request Form to INTA Member Operations, stating in detail the reason for the substitution and the person attending in your place. If you would like to transfer your add-on business development activity to another person, please contact INTA Member Operations.

Designees can also reassign an assigned ticket to another person affiliated with your umbrella member organization by the substitution deadline below. Tickets can’t be reassigned outside your umbrella member organization.

All substitution requests must be submitted by Tuesday, November 2, 2027, 11:59 pm (U.S. Eastern Time).

HOTEL

INTA has negotiated a discounted rate at the Hyatt Regency New Orleans. The hotel booking link will be available when general registration opens on July 14, 2027.

Bought tickets during the Pre-sale? If your Pre-sale tickets are assigned by Tuesday, July 6, 2027, you’ll receive early access to book your hotel a few days before general registration opens.

You must register for the 2027 Leadership Meeting before reserving your hotel room within INTA’s block of discounted rooms. If you cancel your registration, your hotel reservation will also be canceled.

Limited to one room per registrant.

HOTEL RATES & RESERVATION POLICY

Hotel Rate – Standard Room: $310

Guest room rates are subject to all applicable state and local taxes (which are currently 14.45% and 1.75% Tourism Assessment plus $3.00 occupancy fee) or applicable service, or hotel specific fees in effect at the Hotel at the time of check-out.

Reservations
Reservations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis until the room block is filled or no later than October 5, 2027. All reservations must be accompanied by a first-night room deposit or guaranteed by credit card. The hotel will not hold any reservations unless secured by one of the above methods.

Check-in and Check-out
Guest accommodations will be available starting at 4:00 pm on arrival day and reserved until 11:00 am on departure day. Any attendee wishing special consideration for late check-out should inquire at the front desk on the day of departure.

Hotel Cancellation Policy
You may cancel a guaranteed reservation without penalty at least three business days before arrival. Cancellations made after that time will result in forfeiture of the room deposit or a charge of one night’s room rate and tax to the guaranteed method of payment.

Early Departure Policy
An early departure fee of one night’s room and tax will apply to any guest who departs one or more nights earlier than indicated on the reservation.
